Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex Alpha 1 disponible

Estamos todavía saboreando a Hardy Heron bien calentita y ya llega la primera versión Alpha de Intrepid Ibex. Por supuesto la versión no es apta para equipos en producción ni tampoco incluye muchas de las mejoras que traerá la versión estable. El calendario completo de lanzamiento lo tenéis en la Wiki de Ubuntu. Si todo sigue su curso el 30 de Octubre estará la versión definitiva en la calle. Os dejo el enlace en estándar iCal para que lo agreguéis a vuestro planificador y no os perdáis ninguna fecha del lanzamiento de Ubuntu.

Eso no es verdad :S. Es cierto, el alpha 1 de Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex estaba programado para ser liberado hoy (me encuentro en horario gmt-4). Pero eso no ha sido posible. "Intrepid Alpha 1 delayed" (Intrepid Alpha 1 retrasada), asi anuncia Steve Langasek en un mensage enviado a la lista de correos Ubuntu-devel. Adjunto el correo original:

According to the published Intrepid release schedule at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardyReleaseSchedule, the first Intrepid alpha is
scheduled for today. Due to a number of factors, however, chief among them
the current division of developer attention between the upcoming 8.04 point
release and Intrepid, the alpha release will not be made available today.

We are making every effort to get an installable alpha image together in the
coming days. Watch this space for further information, and in the meantime
please help us get the archive in a consistent state as described on
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment/PackageArchive#Consistency .
